Another very successful Silverdale Rotary Turkey Trot is in the books!  We were blessed with good weather, a great turnout from our Community, and a great turnout from our Club in the way of volunteering.   About 700 members of our community came out -- 100 more than last year. In December we pack food bags for the food insecure in Central Kitsap School District over Christmas break.

Glen attended a Shelterbox Ambassador Field Experience in September and came back with renewed enthusiasm for supporting Shelterbox as they respond to disasters worldwide.

Silverdale Rotary inducted Colin Arper into the Club on September 28. Colin's Dad Rich Arper, a longtime Silverdale Rotarian, proudly present Colin with a Rotary pin. Colin's grandfather Bob Arper (1919-2004) and great grandfather Edward Arper (1889-?) were both charter members of the Silverdale Rotary Club in 1955!

Our former Rotary Youth Exchange student Matej Kunak (2016-17) and Niky got married in Slovakia, then traveled 20 minutes across the border to the Czech Republic for the reception. Silverdale Rotary Club president Cathy Bisaillon and Phil, Former Rotarian Ellen and Alan Newberg (Matej's host parents), and Chuck Kraining (host parent) all attended.

Thanks to our generous sponsors and the public that purchased Duck Tickets, raffle proceeds will benefit the community far and wide throughout the next year.

Silverdale Rotary Club members hosted a remembrance ceremony on May 29, 2023. Our Rotary Club has maintained the flags for years, replacing them as needed. Thanks to Rich Arper who coordinated the ceremony.

December 15, 2022 - Funded by our 2022 Turkey Trot, pallets and pallets of food were bagged by Silverdale Rotarians, family members, and community volunteers and dropped off at CKSD Operations Center for distribution.

Rotarians and guests gathered at Seabeck Conference Center to celebrate the end of the 2022-23 Rotary year, and to install the 2023-24 officers. Thanks to Michael Collins for the photos!

Our flock of Big Ducks migrated all over Kitsap County to business Sponsors in July 2022. And we sold Duck Tickets in a variety of venues!

Silverdale Rotary Club provided the labor and carpentry expertise at the viewing platform on the Clear Creek Trail, joining forces with the Clear Creek Task Force, who provided the materials and lunch. Trex planks and a 2' extension - it's gorgeous!
